Scmidt went 4-5 and had 6 RBI's on the night. The home runs were Schmidt's 25th and 26th.
Shane Rawley (9-10) benefitted from Schmidt's offense, tossing a complete game that allowed manager Doug Glanville to rest his bullpen.
After going 15-9 over the past several weeks, the Phillies moved to within one win of the .500 mark. Philadelphia trails the New York Mets by just 5 games in the N.L. East division. With their recent winning ways, the Phillies have climbed back into 1986: Take Two playoff contention.
It was "Home Teams Blow Out Visitors" night across the league...
