Do I punt this team?

11 for 25 in AD. 4 for 8 in waiver draft. No leadoff man and looks like Murcer is the third baseman. Should I let HAL have his fun and run this team?

Just made a bunch of changes. Hopefully the team is now better. Still going with a 4 at 3b but now it is Cardenal. Have no bench to speak of anymore. Picked upped White for Williams for LF and added Otis for def replacement.

I say give it a shot, especially since you've now made some improvements. If it doesn't work out halfway thru then let HAL loose. One thing with the '69 game, everyone has holes to deal with.

Good luck!

The team doesn't look all that bad . You need some pen help . I am just finishing up a 69 team at your park . Look at the Twins team and get Grzenda *sp . He's been a find for my team for cheapo too . Good pen help .

The thing I've found in 3 teams is that no one runs away with a league . Its relatively close all season long . Get a pen and hope and pray .

Not that this team is doing great (10 back ) but can maybe help you see what a Metropolitan team looks like .

I just dropped Bouton to make the bench stronger. This looks like the lineup each way without crunching all the numbers yet.

Lineup vs. LHP
CHANGE THIS LINEUP
1. Cardenal, Jose (R) 3B
2. White, Roy (S) LF
3. Agee, Tommie (R) RF
4. Petrocelli, Rico (R) SS
5. Smith, Reggie (S) CF
6. Sims, Duke (L) C
7. Pepitone, Joe (L) 1B
8. Knoop, Bobby (R) 2B
9. Pitcher P

Is Pepitone a waste since I'm sure he will be walked over and over. If so any suggestions who to pick up? Maybe George Scott and use the savings on the bullpen?

I've had Jose Cardenal but played him in CF. He won't hit for average but will steal some bases. How about Joe Foy or Jerry Kenney? Who's available? Roy White has looked pretty disappointing as well as Tommie Agee. Any other hitters available? Tatum is worth the money IMO. Rico is the man! Good luck. J Law

Foy is not there. Kenney is there can I live with a power W both ways in my park?
Kennedy is also there.

Drawing a blank on posting FA link.

I think Kenney vs. righties and someone who can hit lefties for a decent platoon. I just don't see Cardenal getting on base enough to lead off. White will draw alot of walks but I haven't seen him hit for average. J Law

I just had White hit .275, with around .370 obp. Nothing great but solid. I think there are nice platoon possibilities in left field for a lot cheaper.

Just dumped Cardenal and signed Kenney who if nothing else can use with Davenport for a 3b combo. Signed Ross for the bullpen.

Keep Pepitone or dump?
