After surrendering a run in the top of the 12th, Montreal rallied for 2 runs in the bottom of the inning. OF Andre Dawson hit a 2 out, 2 run homer to give Montreal a dramatic, come-from-behind victory in front of 40,000 Expos fans.

Cleveland infielder Rick Burleson hit his first home run of the season, leading off the game with a successful HR 1-6 roll.
