Advice for new comers

If your team starts slow do not give up! And the same can be said for players ,especially stars, who start slow; do not give up on them! Any expert(and that does not include me) will tell you they have seen teams start 4 and 14 and end up making the playoffs. SOM is like baseball, you have to be patient! I am in a 1986 league and after less than 50 games someone released Keith Hernadez. This makes absolutely no sense! My team is stacked just from watching the waiver wire. I have picked up Hernadez,Ron Cey, Vern Ruhle, Dwayne Murphy, and several others. I do not even have room for all these players that I picked up from waivers. I had to bench Tabler and other good hitters to make room for all the good players other gamers gave up on! This advice; to stick with your stars no matter what, will seem basic and obvious to anyone who has played before. However, everyday someone is giving up on someone that they should not give up on! The law of averages says your star players will come around! So do not give up on teams, or players. And always remember; UP WITH HOPE, DOWN WITH DOPE! Unless of course it is the DANK! Good luck to all the new SOM gamers!
