Gwynn is by FAR the better choice. I like Gwynn in ATG, but his +1 arm there usually keeps him in the free agent pool. Here in 1986 however, he has a better arm, plus in this comparison he's just a better hitter and baserunner, particularly for Royals and other similar parks.
For example, I have Gwynn on a team in Busch, which is almost identical of a park to Royals.
Gwynn's numbers through 114 games:
479 AB, 23 2b, 7 3b, 6 hr, 84 r, 51 rbi, .351/.397/.466
And at home:
212 AB, 11 2b, 3 3b, 2 hr, .359/.415/.467
So he's faring better at home, but not by too much.
And he can't get hurt.
