I just started playing this and Dick Scofield ( a " 1 " ) got injured for 15 games . I see nothing on FAQ about an IR / DL . Ed Romero is the backup .
Make a move ?

680+ plate appearances ( at bats + walks = pa's ) no injury or rest of game
600-679 pa's = 3-4 games max
599 pa's and under 15 game possible .

Yeah , I get that .
What I'm asking is by losing 20 % of a player's value , is it worth making a pickup or should I just endure the injury ?
I seem to recall the old board game chart having up to a 20 game injury .

Injuries are something I try to avoid . Generally only my catchers can get hurt for 15 games thus I only carry 2 of them because when one goes down the other becomes injury proof until the other is back .
As for your question on the cap hit : That's a tricky one . Depends on who it is getting hurt for 15 games . If it's let's say Eric Davis and he's bashing the heck out of the ball , you wait for him to come back . If it's Tom Brookens and there's a better alternative then by all means .
I have seen many teams in '86 that are fielding 13-15 hitters who ALL can go down for 15 . Either they don't know the IR stat rule or are praying no one gets hurt . But they will . It's part of the game .

I'd like to see a link to your team 1st . There is a thread that tells you how to do that .
