I was lucky enough to get both Clemens and Scott on a just completed team (101 wins). I played in the Astrodome, with good defense (1 at catcher, 2 everywhere else), in a league that slanted somewhat to hitting compared to my other leagues. Scott pitched agaist No. 1s, which I think explains the difference in record. I think Scott's card is slightly better, but it is hard to compare AL pitcher in Fenway against NL pitcher in the Astrodome. They are 1 and 2 in the Cy Young in most of my leagues -- really not much difference.

Now I don't understand everything about holding runners on, but Scott (awful) and Clemens (great) look to be the opposite extremes.

In close games and against teams with significant SB runners (and 86 had a number of them) Clemens would seem to get a pretty significant advantage.
