Hey, I'm new, so this question is stupid.

Do the cards stay the same throughout the year, or are there streaks or slumps, or the computer just deciding "Dave Winfield is going to have a horrible year?" In other words: does early success lead to more success and vice versa?

It's a dice game afterall and it depends on the rolls of the dice more than anything . Players can have good or bad seasons just like in real life.

The cards do not change. But keep in mind that the cards are just a tool. They allow you to predict outcomes based on percantages, but with opposing factors, such as ballpark effects, opponent's defense, manager strategy settings, and of course dice rolls, the outcomes can vary greatly.

For example, I had Eric Davis play 153 games (out of 162) at Fenway for a season, and he hit 52 homers, drove in 143, and swiped 92 bases. These are eye-popping numbers, but you can't expect those results always. I have seen him on an opponent's team in another league with 28 HR, 94 RBI, and 60 SB - still solid, but not MVP-caliber. The ballpark probably had an effect, but so did the pitching he faced, the defense, the settings, and the dice rolls.
