I have seen him undrafted a lot. I decided to take a chance. Thru 15 games not so good. Under the Mendoza line. Not drawing walks. Batting him leadoff in front of Staub Howard and Wynn and still not scoring any runs.
Has anyone had luck with him?

I've had him a few times and would describe him as a player who will be able to make you win. Not flashy, his stats were a little worse than the years described up above but his teams won and he provided a 80-100 BB and 100+ BB. Mid .270 ave.

I'd hit him 5th or 6th; you're wasting a lot of clutch opps.

I use him in the 2 or 3 hole or 6th depending on your team. While the clutch is bad, his speed and 2B's can be useful.
The clutch is BAD ??

I count 7 clutch hit opportunities from either side of the plate....how is that bad?
I've got him in the 5th or 6th spot, and he's leading my team in RBIs (as well as doubles, HRs, and OBA -- the HR lead will no doubt tail off when Boog Powell gets hot).
Went 4-10 last night with three walks, raising his numbers to .338/.398/.675 after 21 games.

White was always a class act, and a fine ballplayer. The only knock on him was his arm. The dude threw like a girl! To me, it's a toss-up between Hal McRae and White over who had the worst arm I ever saw.

Today Johnny Damon fits that mold. He throws like a girl. And this is coming from a Red Sox fan!
