thoughts...league went hitting heavy, almost nothing left on the wires offensively. tons of top level pitching including dierker and cueller and fergie. do I stick with versatile, decent fielding, high obp/b.a. team in dodger stadium and load up tatum with innings, or cash in someone like roy white and get a dominant pitching staff and try to hold them down?

That's a tough one. One big power bat on your team would make a huge difference. Maybe you could work out a trade? Boswell, Buford, Reese, Perry all have nice trade value (not that I'd be eager to trade any of them). But if you gotta do it ...
Otherwise, I would try to grab Jenkins. Maybe hang on to White if you can and play Buford at third? White has at least a little extra-base power, to go with clutch hitting, obp, and speed--and you're gonna need all of them to generate runs.

I'm not sure Buford, with his 4e25 rating, is a viable alternative @ 3B for you.

People use Killebrew and Tony Perez at 3B with worse defense than that. Actually I love using Perez. He more than makes up for his glove with his bat. I've never had Killebrew but he could do the same.

that's what Im planning on, buford at 3b...actually was planning on bando with buford as my backup on the waiver wire, and ofcourse, bando went #1. this is why I HATE having to pick your stadium and be stuck with it before waivers run. missing out on ALL the power bats, and a team looking totally different than the one I picked. I would love to put this team in a pitcher's park, and get even stronger pitching. I really have no choice, there is NOTHING on the wire, save maybe cash at 1b, or parker, but I kinda like reese, and looks like Im gonna have to go with high ba/obp and let tatum walk the minefield of taterers for as many innings as possible. had a team with perranoski where he won 22-games and logged over 200 ip, AND had sixteen saves!
Team looks okay to me, Meat....

Lotsa OBA, solid defense...ballpark isn't the best match and I don't know the rest of your division, but I wouldn't go wholesale nuts gutting it, either. Can't see FA's, so I can't help you with that....
