Please help me with this team!

Our historical single season sets

I would dump Curt Flood and Carlos May unless he is your DH. You obviously need a 3B and then a whole new OF. Hard to suggest anyone not knowing who is available. I like Don Buford or Roy White for LF. Maybe Oliva for RF. With Aparicio and Clarke slanted towards LHP you need more players slanted towards RHP.

I would get a 4th *SP to make a 4 man rotation too and maybe a slight improvement in your RP.

Other than either Reggie or F.Robby (who will probably both be gone by Pick # 5), grab Tony Perez from that list.

santo, perez and brooks are all great but in Candlestick you might be better off with Rico Joseph or Pete Ward.

Unless there are quite a few LH SP in your division I still don't like Flood in CF. Your lineup is pretty well slanted towards LHP. Other than that I like your team pretty well.

Re: How do I look after waivers?

[quote:174379f726="Aray0113"]Okay: here's what I did post-waivers.

Managed to pick up FRobby with the #5 pick; Perez was taken #3.

Dropped Horace Clarke for Glenn Beckert. Picked up Tito Fuentes to platoon with Taylor at 3B. Dropped Carlos May and picked up Jim Northrup. Downgraded to Ellie Hendricks to platoon at C. Picked up Don Wilson as my #4 starter; Ray Sadecki as my #5 starter/mop up man; strengthened my pen with Diego Segui and Joe Hoerner, with Rollie Fingers as a RH mop-up man to go with John Hiller as my lefty mop-up guy.

Any ideas for lineups?[/quote:174379f726]

I'm not a big fan of Beckert as an everyday player - can you get someone to platoon with him at 2B? I like Fuentes very much - no power, but a consistent stick at 3B for a reasonable price.
