Still interested in your earlier proposed deal: I get Cepeda; you get Cardenas?

You will need some OBP to get on base in front of your sluggers and at Fenway you will need much better RP. Also, Kaat will get lit up by RH hitting at Fenway.

I think 27 is way too many players to carry; it dilutes the quality of the players you can put on the field.

1) Catfish Hunter should get killed in Fenway. My basic premise would be that pitchers from pitchers parks should not be used in hitters parks. I don't know whose available but Vincente Romo and Seibert from Boston are usually available and I've had them do good.

2) I agree with on base needing improvement. Maybe batting Bonds leadoff could help but I also believe you need to eliminate 2 -3 players. I wouldn't keep Spencer if you have an everyday 1B and a capable backup like McGraw. Get rid of one of your 2B backups. Javier is solid.

3) Improve your starting Catcher and relief.

4) You might need to trade either Yaz or Robinson for 2 upgrades. I would consider getting 1 starter who hits even to lefties to balance your lineup.
The 1969 season does emphasize righty SP but still a hitter who can balance your linep is important. Note how many of your hitters ar righty and hit right handers.
