Who can make sense of this mess?

Thinking of moving Yaz and letting Carty and Francona share time in LF. Defense will suck, but I see more overall production out of those two than from Yaz. The division is full of hitters parks, with one Candlestick.
I like my pitching, at least I think I do. I hate my defense, but have grown to accept reality of a single season. I'm wishing for better OBP at the top of the order, although some kind words about Monday would ease that.
If I can find a way to get Francona up at the top as well, then I'm happy with my offense. Might have to keep Yaz to use as a compliment to Allen.
No matter how I slice it, this team will have injuries, and I like the moving pieces to fill in for them when they occur. Yaz is sort of key in that regard in that he can play LF,CF,1B without injury. Francona/Carty slide around LF and 1B when Allen goes down, and Hebner at 1B/3B. Somehow, I think I can get them all at bats if I ignore the defensive consequences.
Or...one of you kind people could help me sort out this mess into a nice logical well oiled machine.
:D
