WSH here.

First time in 1969. Don't know anything... talent dried up faster than water in a desert.

Does anyone have any lineup advice?

1. Buford, Don (S) LF
2. Smith, Reggie (S) CF
3. Torre, Joe (R) 1B
4. Oliva, Tony (L) RF
5. Wills, Maury (S) SS
6. Foy, Joe (R) 3B
7. Millan, Felix (R) 2B
8. Sanguillen, Manny (R) C

Rotation: Messersmith, Cuellar, Carlton, Sutton...

Thanks in advance.

Wes

Where are you playing? Can you post a link to your team? (Go to your league statistics, click on your team, and copy the link-- including your team ID #-- to your post here.)

Your starting rotation looks very strong.

I'm in your league so I don't want to give you *too* much advice, but you could use an effective RH reliever to complement Hoerner. Ron Tayor might do well in your park. You just have a few too many 50-cent placeholders on your pitching staff.

You have good defense and speed in your lineup. Your hitting looks okay to me.

It all starts Monday night! Good luck.

PS Regarding your lineup. try to get your best bunter and hit and run guys batting behind Wills to maximize the SB potential. I think Buford has good SB too, right? If so, same thing for him. Smith may be better in a power spot like #4 or #5.

I agree on the pitching and I'm having major issues determining order.

THanks for the feedback PillPop.

Looking forward to the league. Looks like a good group, eh?

The league will be fun. There are a lotta pro's-- and then there's the rest of us. A nice mix.

As for your order, it's really not that big a problem. You have a lot of players with good OBP. See how it shakes out. You actually good hit Reggie Smith #1 or #2 and get him those extra at-bats.

Don't sweat it. I wish I had your lineup.
