Guys that are already in the original SANDLOT league (the other three of you) I created, why don't you jump over to the identical ADVANCED league I created. Hopefully the East will fill with the same four teams because I'd like to play with Bombers among others...

PBTR, why do you feel the need to have a competing DH league forming? C'mon and join the east in the Sandlot league already created and then we can be in the same division! Otherwise I am staying put unless I see your league getting close to filling first or something.

I think PBTR wants the extra ratings points from playing in an advanced league.

I'll be happy to move, but don't you want the extra 30 points when you win this league?

I mean, granted, it's not that important, but it seems silly to create a special league and NOT make it advanced.

There are two in there now, if you all move now we only need 7.

I'll give it a couple days, if nobody wants to move I'll join your league.

I joined this league, but will move also if nobodyelse wants to join. Hopefully the leagues will combine though.

Happy New Year to all. 8)

I agree. Let's give it the day and if nobody joins us, we'll go over there.

Seeing as how I have yet to win a 69 league I guess that 30 extra points isn't that important anyways...

Personally I am trying not to get my ratings points up very fast. I don't want to scare any newbies from wanting to be in a league with me. Sometimes I think newbies are intimidated by guys with tons of ratings points. I know I was when I first started. No one should be scared of me however as I have never won a championship. 12 playoff teams in '05, '69 and the 80's game but no ring.

What I am trying to say is the ratings points are unimportant to me. I would give some of mine away or delete them if I could.

Guys I'll put a team together today... would prefer the advanced settings though!

Is it DH... 80/100?

I completely agree with your thoughts LM. I DO NOT care about the ratings. My additiction to strat was formed long before any ratings points were developed. Kind of funny that it is true some people think a high rating implies that player is to good to jump in a league with. Well quite a few big ratings points guys (not all- see Riggo and Penngray for examples of high ratings and really good managers) are like me in that they play a lot (and are average) yet the ratings are skewed towards those that play more. Guys like Panzer Ace in the 80's are dominant players but have not played as much so their points are deceivingly low.

I play for the fun and not the points (to second LM - I would be glad if they took my points away - just not the credits  ). But I jumped in the league with Play By the Rules since he is a very good manager and I wanted to the oppurtunity to play in another league with him.
