Is TSN thinking of introducing another year? I played an 86 season and liked it OK but I can't see playing it over and over again. :D

Is there any ONE year that you could see yourself playing over and over again? Why is everyone always so excited about playing the most current season more so than any one season from the past anyway? Strat cards are strat cards no matter what year it is and what player name is at the top of the card.

Your right of course but I guess it's because there is more variety in ATG because of the larger player pool. If different seasons were offered more often but I suppose that is a money issue.

I happen to love 1986, but I would welcome a shot at a different year from the past. How about 1980, 78, or 77?

I love 1986 as well, but if we are going to make a wish list of years, as a SFG fan I think it would be great if 1971 were to be stratomaticized. Torre's .363, a 40-year-old Mays drawing 112 walks, some extraordinary pitching (the Oriole pitching staff!), Stargell and Aaron fighting for the HR lead (a reasonable 48/47, enough to satisfy the power lovers), Ron Hunt hit by pitches 50 times and a great WS between the Pirates and the Orioles.
Any other proposals? :?:

My first strat cards were 1985 and I played with those for years until I got the 1994 cards next. Even after getting newer cards, I would always tend to gravitate toward playing with those 85 cards.
Even though as a Met fan, I personally love 86, as far as strat is concerned, TSN was off by a year when deciding which season to introduce.
I would certainly have create teams long ago if they had introduced 1985.
