An Oxymoron: HAL Bullpen Logic

Thank goodness I still won the game, or else I would have been cursing up a storm.

Kaat ends up pitching a complete game, but allows 4 hits and 2 runs in the 9th inning. He was set on quick hook, and it would seem that he should have been yanked after the second base hit, and definitely following the third, when he should have reached his point of weakness. And HAL still kept him in the game EVEN AFTER THE FOURTH HIT!!

Only one of my relievers had pitched in the previous game, so my team had some rested relief pitchers, so HAL's non-action really baffles me.

This Kaat really must have nine lives.

And Woodward was probably so anxious to face a tired Kaat that he twisted himself into a pretzel swinging for the fences, and instead fouled out to the catcher, injuring himself on the final play of the game.
