Clemente picked off - how could it happen?

Postby franky35 » Mon May 17, 2010 12:49 am

No outs, Clemente on first and he gets picked off. Clemente does not have a pick off on his card (4/- (16-6)). The hitter at bat (Roy White) is set to no bunt, no hit-n-run..

Any suggestions what could have happened?

Anyone can get picked off regardless of their automatic out rating after the "/" in their stealing rating. Refer to super advanced rule 20.4.B. It appears that this would only happen if you are going for the base runner's good lead. So, if you never want that to happen, clicking Clemente's "don't steal" button would probably prevent it. (But, it would also rob you of a few low risk steals too)
