2 cycles in my series alone....and George Brett had the following line:

6 6 6 6

I'm sure the pitchers find this idea evil, and that line only confirms it.

may be the rarest stat of the night:

Vance, D. R S7/R3 1 0 0 7.0 8 1 1 6 1.29 1.29

all my games looked fairly normal. 4-3, 5-9, 7-9.

Game One - Crooked Numbers first round draft choice and pre-season ace, Hal Carlson couldn't get an out before 6 runs were scored and HAL pulled him for Bob Stanley. Stanley managed to get an out, but gave up another 6 runs before Ben Wade was brought in to "put out the fire." Wade somehow managed 6 innings, giving up another 11 runs. Final score 25-11!

Game 2 - Rip Coleman pitched into the fifth inning and only gave up 4 runs, Stanley lowered his era from 165.00 to only 40 something, by going a scoreless inning. Wade, who appears to be the early workhorse for the Crooked numbers was credited with a close game win (8-7) as Dan Osinski gets his first save.

Game 3 - Jack Harper gives up 12 runs in 3 1/3 innings and the Crooked numbers can't recover..losing by a score of 17-15.

Games were as expected..McDougald only hitting .214....is this a self fulfilling prophesy? I will give him more time, but how can you only be hitting .214 with pitching like this?

It was fun looking at the other boxscores. I don't usually do that. How did one series manage 3 games without a double digit final score?

Only 10 stolen bases in all 18 games, yet 101 HRs. Mash away folks!

Wish the system kept track of team LOB and grounded into DPs. I left 37 on base and grounded into 11 DPs in one series.

That brings up a really interesting point. OBP in this league is most likely going to be through the roof. I would bet that having an OBP under .425 is going to mean a LOT of losses.

This will also be a good test to verify that no sort of any normalization is turned on. I don't think there is at this point, but I'll track it nonetheless.

Here was Brett's quote in the boxscore:

'They made a couple of mistakes and I took full advantage,' Brett said 'next time I'm sure they'll pitch me tougher.'

What league does Brett think he is in? I am SURE next time these pitchers WILL NOT pitch him tougher!
