League will use the ATG III Historical Version of SOM Game. 200mm CAP, No D/H, Waiver

We will slow draft rounds beginning as soon as draft order is settled, I will be using the pick 3 lottery from the evening of March 22, as soon as we can post the results, the slow draft may begin. I would like to see at least one round or twelve picks made per day during the slo drafting period. Coaches anticipate checking the thread twice a day, maybe three times per day. If your pick is approaching and you know you will be unavailable, please leave your proxy pick with me or one of the other trustworthy coaches. We want the line to keep moving.

League Draft will consist of a slow draft starting Thursday March 22. I would like a minimum twelve rounds possibly fourteen rounds completed before Friday March 30 (Night of Quick Draft). Stadiums will be picked anytime during the fOURTH ROUND, only in conjunction with a player pick, Quick Draft of six rounds and auto draft the remaining players to fill the roster. ALL TEAMS will enter the league Friday evening the 30th. A waiver will follow. This will give everyone a chance to trade, barter, steal, cajole, pry players from one team to another. Opening day will be Monday April 2.

QUICK Draft may be extended if everyone is having fun and commited to knock out a few extra rounds. If after the three hour blitz limit we will poll the coaches to see if they want to do an extra round or two. I must get 100% consensus or we will stop.

Regarding the clock: I want everyone to be reasonably responsible for their picks. During the first round I do not want anyone passed! However, I will be asking for projected first round choices, in particular the number one or two picks in the first round. I usually get things wrapped up around 11pm central time. We have five coaches on the east coast and four on the west coast. Coaches MAY leave proxy picks with me to keep things moving. My cellphone number is 630-202-9593. After the first round we will institute a three hour clock. I do not want anyone assuming that without a clock in the first round that we are being casual, we are not. I will send pts and phone messages if necessary to move this thing along. I would like a minimum of twelve picks per day. The last draft we averaged 24 picks a day, that is awesome, that might make the blitz obsolete. If we hit rounds 16 or higher by Friday I will poll the coaches to see if they want to blitz or not.
Regarding the clock, we must remember our east coast brethren and west coast brethren, I will let everyone know where the coaches live. If an east coast manager has a west coast manager in front of him, there is a three hour difference. 6am in New York is still 3am in Oregon. Be reasonable before passing anyone in the second round and beyond.

Also, I will be the only one cajoling managers that have been gone, asleep, distracted by other activities. No obscene or argumentative dialog. I have cellphone numbers for ALL. We had only a few delays last time. Lets build a community that sticks together for fifteen more seasons if we choose to do so.

No badgering, or slamming coaches about alleged discrepancies of trades. If the dollar amounts are close, its your choice to hit the trade button, this is a $25 hobby not Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama, negative, negative, negative. Be happy brothers.

Clock time for the Quick-Pick Draft will be (5) Five Minutes per Selection, If Selection not made we will move on to next selection. Makeup Pick can be made at anytime, but if same player is selected, that player will go to the manager on the clock; no other decision will be made. Please make pick in the allotted time

Again All Teams will join the league on FRIDAY March 30th before Midnight Eastern, No exceptions as the Objective of this league will be a Friday Live Draft and Saturday nite frenzy and one week trading period.

Your Availability will be required on Friday evening, 3/30/07 at 7:30 eastern time for the Quick Draft and Frenzy.

League Opening Day will be Monday April 2.

Stadiums will be UNIQUE and picked during the FOURTH ROUND in conjunction with a player pick, No Duplicate Stadiums

In the event Hal Richman decides to add any ballplayers after the league starts, player(s), will be left on free agency, even Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire or Sammy Sosa.

State Lottery Picks will be used to determine Draft Position. Highest (999) to Lowest,(000) ZERO being Low

Divisions Assignments by Draft Positions

EAST: 12 11 10 9

CENTRAL: 8 7 6 5

WEST: 4 3 2 1

Trades of players and picks are allowed; Make sure all trades are posted clearly for all managers to read. Please keep value exchanges equitable and reasonable so as to prevent squabbles and decisions having to be made on allowing the trade.

I know every possible situations is not covered in the rules but any decisions that have to be made will be made as fairly as possible
