Here is our league:

Please check in on this board and don't forget to vote on Genegrid's idea. Also misterg, we need your vote on DH/no DH.

Once everyone checks in I'll post for randomized numbers for the snake draft order. The number next to your name on the signup will be where you draft, so if the random numbers come up 12 11 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 then misterg would choose first, JMP second, Rube third . . . bontomn 11th, and me last.

I vote YES for the 10 round draft using MLB players who also played in Negro Leagues.

I'll also vote for the 10 rd draft, as long as we will be able to find a list of all the ATG 5 players who will qualify. I mean, I know many, as I'm sure you all do, but it would be nice to have a definitive list to refer to. Would make the draft process easier.

I agree about the list, and I think it should be something that everyone could reference so there are no disagreements about who is/isn't qualified. Genegrid posted a link in the ATG forum that could possibly be used/helpful.

Thanks to those who helped. I'd still prefer a 6-round Negro League draft, or even an 8-round one. Ten rounds is too much, but I'll go with the majority.

I prefer a 6 Rd. Negro League draft.
Also found a list of African-American Players and the Teams. I like the idea of using the team names to for the league. Who is with me on that. I will post my team name first.

Maybe we compromise and do 8 rounds? My one concern is that with a requirement to have 4 Negro League players in the lineup everyday injuries could cause problems fulfilling that. Also it could restrict drafting pitchers.

I am assuming that any Negro League player not selected in the draft will be available in the auto-draft and/or as a free agent. Is that correct? That could alleviate the injury/pitcher problem.


I also like the idea of using the team names to for the league.
