Another Summer League - chat thread

Postby Palanion » Thu Apr 15, 2010 6:01 am

If all the blokes and folks from the original Summer League and Winter League auctions could check in please.

Also, could someone (gorshar?) post the rules of how we will draft? I think the time frame was cut back from six months to 2 or 3...

Bill

P.S. Obviously, I've checked in

Do we want to do the same kind of auction or switch to a sealed bid auction as we did already once with ATG5?

1. Palanion - I did not do the sealed bid, so I just want to know more before voting, though I'm sure it was fine

Sealed bid - players are nominated with a minimum opening bid. All other managers PM to the nominator either a pass or a bid. Highest bid wins. If everyone passes the player is awarded to the nominator for the original bid price. Takes about one-third the time to complete.

I like the sound of that. Very intriguing. How long does one have to submit a bid? And I assume if you don't submit a bid (away for a day or two) that it accounts as a pass?
