I know there are some vets in this league. Anyone have any comments so far?

Been quiet Waivers for the most part. Waiting for the deluge this weekend when I'm away from the computer! :P

We got almost everyone we wanted, trying to duplicate a team that sucked from a live draft and I think was better than it played.

Didn't get A. Hill or Beckett so I had to make some adjustments.

If you guys decide to move either, I'd be happy to take them.

That said, the team sucked so I'm not sure that I really want them but... that *was* the goal!

Also, would move Dempster for a SP in the same price range as Beckett.

Not much to say. I got most of my guys in the AD, set 5 waivers and got all those five, so no changes/transactions since. So if this team blows it's my own fault.

Haven't looked at my divisional opponents well yet. This is pretty much a pitchers park league, but interestingly no Petcos.

I think I was fourth in the waive list.

At least I have good pitching. Don't know if I'll be able to score enough runs though.

That's what makes this fun. :)

Yeah, lots of small ball parks. That will make it interesting for sure. Hadn't thought about the no Petco, but you're right!

Yeah, you've got a great first four, but you *are* going to struggle at the plate. Especially against LHSP, which one team in our division will start lots of! If you decide you want to move Beckett and pick up a bat, I'll trade you Dempster, that'll leave you lots of room for another bat. Although, come to think of it, I'm not sure the players I would need to make it work are still available. Still, if you're interested, let me know ASAP.

Anyone else have a comment before we start?

Well, made a deal with Barnicle for Beckett, definitely hurts my pen and the bench somewhat, but wanted to get closer to the other team and makes the rotation more solid with two guys who are decent.

Guess we'll see!

Got McCutchen with the extra cap. A little bit more speed and more hitting from the right side. We'll see how this goes.

I can't remember a league opening day where I have been shutout in all 3 games! Nor a game where I shut someone else out all three games!

Wow, that is amazing. I'm sure you'll score *at least* one run this year! ;)
