The 8 man/$7 mill challenge, V2.0 Chat Thread / Draft Order

So we are only drafting 8 rounds. I got that ..... my question is this .... do we have to use our 8 drafts only on players over $7 million? Or can we use our drafts on any 8 priced players we want? I know we can only end up with 4 hitters and 4 pitchers priced > $7 million, but the rules do not address whether they have to be the 8 "live draft" selections.

I would suggest we draft whatever priced players we want (could be 6 > $7 million and 2 < $7 million), but ultimately have to get our lineups to comply with the rules.

I don't think there's any mention in the rules about that, so if someone really wanted Larry Bowa that bad, it would be within the rules if they wanted to draft him during the 8 round live draft. If care is taken to make sure that they stick with the rules (4x4 hitters/pitchers >$7m) then I don't see why not. Anybody else have any issues with that?

I have no problem with that...Maybe now that we are in the weekend/Holiday...It will speed up. Anything that helps. If we really were together we could add 2 more rounds or so...but not at this pace.

Also, RE: the current pace of the draft, the gentleman's agreement apparently ain't working. I'm formalizing a 5 hour clock with a "gentleman's agreement" for 6. Check the draft thread for details.
