Looks like we just need trey and Msheaf to pick states.
Here's my idea-
You can only have 2 players over $6M, which we will pick in a 2 round live draft. One pitcher, one hitter-- you can pick them in any order. These players come with some strings attached, however--
Round 1- You can pick any player over $6M. You must use the park that player played in. You also must end up with at least 3 other players from that team on your final roster. You don't get any "rights" to these players, you have to get them in the autodraft. But you must have 3 of them on your final roster and under $1M guys don't count.
Round 2- You pick another $6M+ guy-- if you picked a pitcher in Round 1 you must now pick a hitter and vice versa. His salary must be less than your 1st rounder. And you must have 1 player from his team on your final roster. Again, no "rights" to this player and under $1M guys don't count.
Also-- once a player is taken no one else can take a player from that team in the 1st 2 rounds.
The rest we autodraft. $80M no DH, I'm thinking frenzy might be fun, but could go either way here.
So to give an example--
Round 1 you pick Mantle-- now, no one can take Maris. So you will play in Yankee '61 and you must have 3 '61 Yankees on your final roster (between $1-$6M) You have to autodraft those guys-- so if you want Whitey Ford you better pick him high in the autodraft.
Round 2-- Now you must pick a P-- because you picked mantle 1st. Same deal-- Over $6M, but also must be less than Mantle's salary (no problem there) and you need to have 1 player from this team on your final roster (between $1M-$6M)
The rest we autodraft-- but no players over $6M allowed.
Sound good? Let me know of any questions or something I'm missing that makes this unworkable.
