One would think it not unreasonable to check the boards at least every 12 hours if one is doing a live draft. Or, since this is my first, perhaps my expectations are too high?

I've only done a half-dozen or so live drafts, but what seems to me to be the case is that if you can practice the patience of a saint and remember to bite your tongue (or the typing equivalent) every time you open your mouth, you can get through a draft without grumbling too much. And then, after you have been checking the boards faithfully every hour for a week, as soon as you get called into a three-hour meeting, everything will move quickly, and someone will rip you for holding up the process.

For some reason, that seems to add to the charm of a live draft and help make it a great way to play this game. :lol:
