Due to an injury to a starting pitcher it appears that HAL has chosen Mariano Rivera to start for the GUNS against me tonight. This could be a problem. I'm not sure how HAL handles fatigue in relievers turned starter. Any thoughts? I do hope Rivera does not pick up two saves and a shutout in this three game series!

Well, I lost all three games, but Rivera pitched only 5 innings as a starter and did not pitch in the other two games. Off to a bad start at 1-5 but think things will get better.

Hi guys,

Been busy and the boards have been jacked up so...

Anyway, we're off to a slower start than I would like but hopefully we'll get it going.

The Pumpers got off to a horrible 4-11 start but have bounced back winning 12 of the next 15. So at 16-14 I am not sure which team I really have - the one with the pitiful start or the current streaking winning group. I am hoping for the latter and since I am +19 in the run differential I have some basis for optimism. My 1B platoon of Howard and Sexson has yet to produce much. Most of the teams are still pretty bunched up in the standings so not too much has become clear in the first 30 games. I agree that right now it is best to just stay close to the leaders. 132 games to go!

Sorry I haven't been on much, with all the board problems it's been hard.

Ratings are coming out soon. I think the Pumpers are decent, but you'll see soon.

One thing that's making the ratings hard is all the moves people are making. For you newbies, making midseason moves rarely improve you much and making tons of moves never does.

Also, playing a 4 at SS or a 4e16 in the OF is usually not a good idea!

More to come.

The ratings will be very interesting. My Pumpers have still not declared themselves - starting slow, streaking ahead, and now just plodding along close to .500 - but hanging close. I think they can be better.

Oliver Perez at 7-0 and 1.71?? Who'd of thought that was possible? - will be interesting to see where he finishes.

Yeah, Oliver has been out of his head (and on quick hook), but Sheets isn't a 6.27 ERA guy either. ;) Also, Lowe is > 4.5 and Verlander is almost 5. having one guy pitching above his head doesn't mean a whole lot given the above. ;) Shell is also over 4.

Ratings on Friday, but they'll be based on yesterday's numbers. I have it at work and I'm off tomorrow.
