Wow, our pitching is getting pounded every single night. I know these guys aren't *this* bad, nor are the offenses we're facing (although they are pretty good) aren't this good. Yeesh. It's been ugly.

Been busy lately and Forgot about this thread. Going back to opening night - those 3 SHO's were indeed amazing. I don't think I've ever seen it at anytime.

This is only week one. The dust hasn't settled yet. For me Helton is barely hitting .200, and you would think Dempster is a hall-of-famer.

Nice trade for you eh? Beckett hasn't been nearly as good! Actually, the only one pitching even half way decent is Jim Johnson (the cheap one) brother Josh as a 2.0 ratio! :shock:

However, you're right, it *is* early! Plenty of time still.

Sorry Guys,

the NLD draft has pretty much occupied all of my SOM time.

My thoughts? Well, I think my pitching will be better than it's been so far and my hitting will tail off some. I think our fielding will be better too. Hudson's already made 4 errors and we're 5-10 at home. :shock:

Hopefully we can get the timing down with our hitting and pitching that hasn't been good so far.

I do'nt think the Crabbers are the best team in the league, or the division, but their pitching is serving them well so far. It's not *that* good.

Not surprising that Big M is doing well, but I'm not sure this team is as good as the team you had in the other league.

STill early, lots of anomalies.

What are someone else's thoughts?

Nobody is more surprised than I at the start my team's had. I do not have the best team in the league.

It seems like there are a lot of pitcher friendly ballparks in this league though. Having said that, we just started the inter divisional play, so the next week should prove to be interesting. I expect the high scoring team to star winning more and the standings to start reflecting that.

Well, we can't seem to get our timing down or a clutch hit so we may be out of it before things "normalize". Lost a couple of tough ones tonight (again). Hard to believe that we're this bad v RHP since we were better v RHP in the last league! :?

Oh well, hopefully things will turn for us, this is brutal.

Barnicle, if you can keep getting pitching like that, you *are* the best team in the league!

Wow, our pitching just keeps sucking 18 runs tonight. Game after game. Brutal I don't *thnk* we're this bad, especially with the defense I'm putting out there, but wow. And, we're just HORRIBLE at home 5-16. :shock:

Game two was the only one we could have won, but Hudson fails to turn a DP and it ends up costing 4 runs. <sigh> Oh, and we left 11 OB.

Then Hughes goes out and 4 hits a lineup with 7 LHBs. Wow, we are COOOOOLD. Ouch. Well, Hughes, and a bunch of mediocre RPs. Well, i guess Papelbon went 2.1 so that's not sooo bad.

Wow, maybe this team really is just a crappy, crappy team. Hard for me to believe, but second time around. What can I say?

Awesome, we won a game. Of course, we lose the first game on a 1-2 triple, but wouldn't have even been in that situation if Beckett makes a Px play, a 1-4 single with an error thrown in for fun. :roll:

Nothing like getting shut down by that awesome pitcher Marquis in game 3. Wow, we really suck. :(
