GBBR 2010 (AKA Jehale is Master of The Universe)

Postby cummings2 » Sun Aug 15, 2010 5:06 pm

Hargh hargh hargh!!!

My feathers of annihilation worked as my totemic mighty bats took the series 2-1 with a combined score of 13-11... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... hoy, hoy, hoy...

OK, so maybe it wasn't total annihilation time... but in the words of MeatLoaf: Two out of three ain't bad 8-)

I just have to find the right kind of feathers to use and the next time I WILL SWEEP!!!

OK so now... who's next as I turn the tables on you GBBRs????

The Calvary Crusaders GB2!!!

HAH! Let me do my research...

...

...

...

ok... I think a little wee just made it to my underpants

I thought Calvary was something like [i:8a337633db]Cavalry[/i:8a337633db]

Well, my ignorance really showed here... and my jewish upbringing certainly contributes...

here's what I've found so far:

Calvary:–noun, plural -ries for 2, 3.
1. Golgotha, the place where Jesus was crucified. Luke 23:33.
2. ( often lowercase ) a sculptured representation of the Crucifixion, usually erected in the open air.
[b:8a337633db]3. ( lowercase ) an experience or occasion of extreme suffering, esp. mental suffering. [/b:8a337633db]

   You [i:8a337633db]Kiddin[/i:8a337633db]' Me????

... but follow me this gets better:

cru·sade   /kruˈseɪd/ Show Spelled [kroo-seyd] Show IPA noun, verb, -sad·ed, -sad·ing.
–noun
1. ( often initial capital letter ) any of the military expeditions undertaken by the Christians of Europe in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries for the recovery of the Holy Land from the Muslims.
2. any war carried on under papal sanction.
[b:8a337633db]3. any vigorous, aggressive movement for the defense or advancement of an idea, cause, etc.[/b:8a337633db]

   You [i:8a337633db]have[/i:8a337633db] to be kiddin' me!!!

So... essentially Aray0113 Goes around, ahem... let me make sure I get this right:

Vigorously and aggresively advancing the cause of extreme mental suffering

:|

(I think my feathers are not going to help me here  )

... I think it's classy that right after he goes about inflicting mental suffering he acronym-nicknames the team "Good Buddies Too" (GB2)

...

(I have pre-game pain)

I fear for my loins...

Mr. Aray, sir... if I may... it's not even a baseball game... it's not even dice... it's all computer stuff, silly stuff... ha, ha... right?.... ok... let's start by putting all sharp objects [i:d1ff0b77ae]a-way[/i:d1ff0b77ae] from my jugular...

Chuck, this is some of the funniest stuff I have ever read...But that's just my humor. Sorry I have been so vacant from the boards and league mail. My plate has been full the past 2 yrs since my wife and I separated with the economy taking such a dive that I get a little caught up in just surviving instead of living free.

Thanks for entertaining the troops in my absence. GBBR and this group of guys has always been such a great escape for me. I have been getting my life back together step by step and will finally be divorced sometime in early 2011. My wife and I have worked out all our differences now that we no longer live together and have an amicable separation - which is good for our 9 yr old(And for our own mental health as well.

I have actually spent a lot of quiet healthy alonetime working on some of my own unhealthy personality traits and creating new strengths, I previously lacked - Like PATIENCE. I always felt I had to make everything happen and it took me a lifetime to figure out that half of it was actually ALLOWING the Universe/God/Higher Self etc. to make things work.

Now I sit back and observe stressful situations instead of getting caught up in them and they actually somehow miraculously work themselves out without me lifting a finger. Now maybe that is what most people do easily and naturally, but I have always been very stubborn in embracing my errors. But I had a lot of time while I couldn't get work for a stretch and being forced to quietly sit back and observe what I couldn't control actually taught me some things I may have never figured out.

But I no longer find myself as interesting as before with all the quirks and faults, but I also don't scare old people, little children or mainstream corporate by the book types anymore - Kind of like Chuck does now.

So consider yourself the new head honcho of the absurd, Chuck. I have happily passed that torch over to you.

I have kept a little dark humor compartment tucked away someplace just for my own mental health. And maybe let it out in private clubs for the criminally insane. But my public demeanor is now on a short leash.

I actually still keep a set of the Original CHA CHA, Carmen Miranda Uniforms with the banana and fruit caps, red candy apple pumps, red leather nini skirts and leopard leotard tops in a box in the closet. But now I only dressup up at home with all the doors and windows closed.

Ah, to be young again.

Hey Rob, good to see you back and being yourself again. :D One rule that has helped my Diane is that "events are neutral". Doesn't sound like much, but my lovely wife is highly strung and takes every personal that happens at work. In your case, I think your new mantra will work well for you. Be ALLOWING......and you'll be healthier and live longer on this early. That is important, because we need to keep the GBBR going strong for years to come.

In C2's case, I love it when he loses his mind. It means everything is right in the universe. He's 6 games behind me and Edge in the West. The good think is that he can't sneak up on us in the standings. His comeback will be the loudest in history!

I'm hoping C2's bluster overshadows my team (the only one with a record WORSE than C2) slowly sneaking up the standings. I certainly can't fall out a basement window, so there's nowhere to go but up!

And since movies were somehow introduced into this thread...two I just rented this weekend, that I highly highly highly recommend:

1. Hot Tub Time Machine...if you've seen it, you'll agree with me. If not, you HAVE to rent it (assuming we all are products of, or lived through, the 80's). Funniest movie you'd never expect it from!

2. I Love You, Man - Another great guy movie that kinda bombed in the theatres.

Now, these aren't to be confused with Terms of Endearment, but if you wanna chill and have a great laugh, rent one or both...and then let my team win a few!!

I liked HTTM when I saw it in the theatres. I find the theme I enjoy lately is the huge generation gap between babyboomers/GenXers and the Indigo's (Under 25) generation. Not many manly men around anymore. And the level of physical health is an abomination as well as the attitude of "entitlement."

Think of the new generation in Pro Sports - "Pay me before you play me" attitude. How many unproven players are making mega millions before they even break a sweat in their 1st practice.

Think about "The Decision" by LeBron James. Has anyone ever witnessed such ultra egocentric narcissistic ******** in the history of sports? This guy has attracted more attention than anyone who has NEVER won a championship. Amazing.

(Turn on the Amplifier -Check)
(Crank up the reverb - Check)

(Fade in: The grand march of Aida -Act II scene 2)

Crank the lights up: I want my shinytude to glare and blind all the followers!!!

In the words of Neil Diamond: Hello My Friends Hello!!!

Missed me???

I missed ya!

... and I beat 'cha too whilst I was looking for my mojo!!!

MMMMMMMMWahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Hoy hoy hoy... what a master of mastery masterfulness I am!!!

not so long ago I heard the roar of the crowd remind me of my 12-24 record... well... not so 12-24 now, am I???

HARGH HARGH HARGH!!!

Actually I've been teaching a lot, I am covering a lot of classes as some of the other teachers covered for me during my surgery so I've been just cheking in at night but with not enough time to let my hair down as well.

So... guess who's coming to dinner tonight???

Tom-To-tom-tom-Toooooooommmm!!!

Mr. CATom is coming to dinner tonight... guess who's eating hummer tonight!!!

...

... ok, edit that out please...that was just NOT right at all!

Take two:

So... guess who's coming to dinner tonight???

Tom-To-tom-tom-Toooooooommmm!!!

Mr. CATom is coming to dinner tonight... and in order to keep climbing (use magnanimous voice) TO THE TOP! (stop using The Voice) I will continue my Team name Analysis (tm).

here's what we have:

Houma Hummers: Houma's slogan is: "Welcome to Houma, Louisiana: The Heart of America's WETLAND"

Ok... so... are you following me? We have Wetlands and Hummers... hmmm... methinks that's a team that is battery operated -get it?

So in order to devise the perfect strategy let's think of the game as a woman and think... how is C2 better than 9 vibrators going off at the same time and stepping up to Home Plate in orderly fashion???

...

...

(still thinking)

...

Darn it Tom!!!

NO Man can ever compete and beat 9 vibrators at the same time... even with the clever use of the before-play I'm still no match :(

... methinks the fat lady will be singing for Tom's side tonight

...on second thought... that might not be such a bad thing afterall

tell you what Tumms... the fat one is AAALLLLLLL yours :D

I'm not trying to defend Lebron at all but.....There have been many, many great players that have never won a championship. I don't think that is a very good measure of superstardom at all. Ted Williams comes to mind for one. He was decent.
