Yes - I think josh had it right - after 3 hours from the last pick, go ahead if someone has skipped.

Are we skipping in the FIRST ROUND? THE MOST IMPORTANT draft pick each year and we allow skipping? That's not right -

None of the leagues I play in allow a person to be skipped in round one of ANY draft. It puts the person being skipped at a major disadvantage (even more so here), leads to ill will and other than satifisfying impatience accomplishes no positive purpose.

As far as I know, the 3 hour clock in the first round has been the standard rule in this league from its inception. The idea, I believe, is that the draft has been announced well in advance and managers have a responsibility to pay attention and to participate in a timely manner.

On the other hand, Red Beards and kaviksdad are the next managers in line and, if they are willing to wait, then that's fine.

I emailed Evan to remind him that it's his turn to draft.

I'm in no rush - and would prefer everyone get's a first round pick according to the draft order. Everything you say is correct T - but we start skipping people in round one and I'll guess we start losing people once they realize they've lost their best chance to improve. I know if I ever got skipped in round one I'd be gone before round 2
