Base Teams League Discussion Thread

Just to let everyone know - I have received confirmation from everyone except Sknsfan. I haven't heard from him since his first post and I've sent him two PMs. Penngray, apparently you were in an '80s league with him back in October - do you know anything about him? Hopefully, he'll check in soon, otherwise we may have to delay this a bit if we need to find a replacement. If that is the case, the replacement will have to be willing to take the 12 (and 13th) pick and everyone would move up a spot. I'm not sure if any other way is fair. Any thoughts on this?

Also, there may be some confusion about the first two rounds of the draft. For the base teams, you just have to take one from each league, in any order. These first two rounds are [u:a6377836ad]not[/u:a6377836ad] one league, then the other. They are in any order you choose. The FA draft - rounds 3 and 4 - will be according to league. Then rounds 5 and 6 will be open choice. I hope I am making this clear. I am writing this because PossibleJohn sent me his proxies for the 4th pick, but gave me his top 4 for each league. He only needed to give me his top 4 overall.

Gentlemen - still no word from sknsfan, but as we all know, the boards and site were down for an extensive period of time. I am going to give him 24 hours to respond. At that point I will open up his spot to someone else willing to accept our terms, with the goal that we will begin as soon as we sign up a replacement.

Question - Is it unreasonable to expect a new person to accept the 12th pick? Or is it more unreasonable to redo the lottery if we get a new 12th man? What are your opinions? This is new territory for me.

Stoney said you guys might need a replacement team. Let me know if you do because I would be interested. I would be okay with moving to the 12th pick also.

Hey guys.

Very sorry about being out of touch. I came to check in this morning and the site's been down most of the day. All of my old links to the boards were for the old boards.

I've made my selection now. It's Atlanta.

I'll try to stay on top of it now.

BTW, that Sknsfan guy is kind of weenie. Make sure you razz him hard for not having his pick in early.

sknsfan - no problem. Glad to have you on board. The ball is rolling. I'm going to eliminate the clock for this weekend. I don't know about you guys, but the site is awfully slow for me. But, let's keep 'em coming as best we can. I will start the clock Monday at 9 AM EST, when we will have a 4 hr. limit as previously stated.
