ATG6 Auction: Closed bidding and nomination thread

Here is how I see it.

-Result posting should be halted until we either hear from Daniel Z or have a replacement in place.
-If a nomination is warranted, name the player.
-Bidding should continue on all players that are open. That way we can post results once an active manager is in place. (Daniel or someone else.)
-If we hear from Daniel, he should have 2 hours to post bids or we can assume a pass. If we move to a replacement, we will grant the new manager a 24 hour window to get caught up.

Just an opinion.

I like the way you all are thinking about the danielz situation.

The one difference between what Ironwill said and my thoughts, are that if we have a new manager, i want to give them the time they need to be caught up., and then go to 24 hour time limit again, I want to make it welcoming for that person, as they are helping us by coming in late.
As for danielz, if he does show, I want to give him a little more time to catch up then 2 hours, and I want to be aware that he had some life emergency, and then I would feel more flexible on time. But I agree that we can not wait for ever. I think Tuesday is a good deadline. If danielz, just did drop, I hope he will have enough honor, to actually come and say that he dropped.

I am for being lenient at this point since we don't know what is going on. Hopefully everything is OK. It might be a good idea to require an email address to be able to check on ones who go MIA after some period of time.

Well, it is now January 3 and no word from danielz for about 1 week. He has made no message board posts, and I do not know how to check in on him.

What do you all feel we should do at this point?

A couple of options to consider would be:
1)wait longer
2)try to recruit a replacement manager (it is very late in the auction)
3)consider having another manager in the auction take over his team and run 2 teams in the league (this would be tricky)
4)complete the aution without him and offer the team to a new manager with the option for that manager to fill out the team and make some allowance for the replacement to make a limited roster modification (an extra player or 2, or maybe a limited number of roster moves)

What do you guys suggest :?: :(

Overall, I think we have waited long enough. One thing we could try though. Has any one looked over the other leagues on this board and see if danielz is in any? If so, maybe we could reach him that way. if that doesn't work, we could ask for another replacement manager, if we get one, great. If we don't, we could continue auctioning, have another manager bid for him ( I would be willing to do this, as my team is full,), andhope we get another manager outside the league to take the team for him. And if all else fails, have one of us not in his division run the team,
