rather than search fruitlessly for the last posting of the rules thread...clarification on bigm's platoon rule. can one guy or more be part of more than one platoon? say 1b vs rhp, dh vs lhp, as long as there's a different guy starting from each side at ATLEAST two positions, not including your .50 guy.
AND, am I correct in assuming the 21 defensive rule only applies to your everyday starting lineup from each side, injuries throw the whole thing out the window?
and I STILL hate uncle's rule! go thru this bataan death march to scrap together some semblance of a squad, only to tear it up, and scramble for compliant letters and defensive ratings....THREE TIMES!!! :twisted:

HM, if memory serves me correct, your two platoons can also NOT include your 5 opposite hitters, or your 1 thirdbaseman, in addition to the required .50 starter. That only leaves you two positions that the platoons can function in.

while we're at it...on the stick picks...do they have a 10m ceiling, with neither going over 5m, or could one be more than 5m, as long as the second one kept the recipient under 10m total?

max first stick is 9.5M. If I got stuck with a 9.5M hitter, then my second stick could only be a .5 pitcher.

aggregate max for recipient two sticks is 10M. If you get stuck for less than 10M in the aggregate, you have available cash for frenzy.

minimum two aggregate platoons is correct. you could have a guy that platoons at one position versus LHP and another position versus RHP BUT then you would need one more stand alone platoon because without the other stand alone platoon you would have only one aggrgate platoon.

Example

Oglive/Cravath for LF
Cravath/Roenicke for DH

is only ONE platoon (Oglive/Roenicke).

That is NOT 100% correct modmark.

Subsequent to the rules posting I asked Bigmahon the question if we have an opposite "1" 3B and/or an opposite $0.50 mandatory player then would it not be correct that we could have potentially 4 spots for the PLATOON....and in fact he realized then that his math was wrong at that time because he did not factor in the 3b and $0.50 as covering 2 of the 5 OPPOSITE spots.

Thus, being in a LH park I have COX 1 3b (R) as 1 of my OPPOSITES and H.Leiber 0.50 CF'er (R) as another.......+ 3 other RH hitters = 5 total. Thus, leaving me 4 spots for a PLATOON.
