AF Dickie and I just completed a monster deal.

Press Release: In order to boost their chances for the playoffs, the Petco AAA Tigers sent one of the top first baseman Jason Giambi (.211, 26 HRs in 322 ABs), along with rising star CC Sabathia (10-7, 3.57 ERA this year, and great prospect stats for next year), good defensive CF Mark Kotsay, and solid offensive SS David Eckstein to Long Island 495ers 05Champs. In return Petco AAA Tigers received struggling star defensive CF Jim Edmonds (.208, 22 HRs), star defensive SS Jack Wilson (just benched after AF Dickie acquired Jimmy Rollins in a deal with the Jaguars), designating hitter Ken Griffey Jr. (.250, 26 HRs), and aging hall of famer Randy Johnson (8-16, 4.32 ERA).

Detroit Tigers is quoted as saying "I hope these last few moves with help to solidify our playoff run for this year, without sacrificing too many of our young players. With a fresh start, we hope the Edmonds will be able to regain some of his previous success with the bat, and we will provide Griffey a chance to earn a job off the bench. Jack Wilson will be our new SS, and it is hoped his outstanding defense will help solidify our infield defense. We feel Randy Johnson will be able to add a solid 3rd starter to our starting 5."

Petco AAA Tigers have been a little lackluster as of late, going 5 -5 in the last 10 games. They currently hold the lead in the Eastern conference by a slim 1 game over the strong charging Jamesville Jaguars II. Detroit starts a 6 game homestand tonight with a 3 game series against BYE (69-69).

Edmonds - terrible card next year
Wilson- bad card
RJ- bad card

Griffey- about the same as this year

As for my pre-trade guys-
Sheff- bad card :(
Frank Thomas- average but getting better
Alou- good card
Lofton- below average
Clemens- hopefully good
Rogers- good card

I think thats it for my old guys. Although I do love the old and injury prone :)
