GBBR II - GET CUMMINGS 2 !!!

Postby alphonso » Tue Jan 09, 2007 5:48 pm

Sorry bout that Kev. :?

I didn't mean to throw a wrinkle in there. My 77 wins were MUCH worse than your 77 wins last league anyways!

Thanks for the welcoming stoney. I promise to be as competitive as I ever was......oh, well .....maybe a tad MORE competitive than the last few LOTO/GBBR leagues.

It has been so long I can't remember...

But in Lefty Parks I generally take Jeter, Floyd, Ryan, Shields and Griffey - Not always necessarily in that order - But something like that. What I don't remember is if I took Ortiz or not - I usually take either Ortiz OR Griffey, but not usually BOTH. If I took Ortiz(Who I am more likely to take at Safeco than PNC, then I had him higher 1, 2 or 3 maybe. :?

Eelcome back, Alph...Players who play in the 1st League are always the 1st invited. Then others as people decline. I actually started the LOTO TOUR because my group of good friends had expanded to more than 30 and I couldn't fit them into just 1 or 2 leagues anymore and give it 1 name. I definitely like that the family has grown tho, but this bunch is definitely the tried and true - Chatty bunch that they are.

I realise...

There are probably more valuable #1 pix than Jeter out there, but there are so few leadoff batters I like this year and his price and ability to cover so many intangibles I need make him a valuable commodity to me...Plus I have tried taking him 2 or 3 and missed out both times. At #1 I am assured of a 2 Range SS who can hit in the 1 or 2 spot, score runs and move over runners without getting injured very often.

It's also the reason why I take Griffey more often than Ortiz, who if you don't take #1 or 2 you just aren't getting him.

Maybe, just maybe, I'll finally win the Big Papi sweepstakes this time. I don't recall all of my top five, but I know I had him 1. I think Willis, Floyd, Jeter were also there. I sense trouble already, as Jeter will be gone if you took him 1, and I've learned that Big is very fond of Willis.
