Final 2005 Voyage presented by the Tarbell's

Postby visick » Thu Jan 05, 2006 10:15 am

Oh I can take it, no problem.

Didn't really seem as though it was shrapnel back at me though...I got the impression that you guys were tired of it.

I'm so very glad if they are depressed AZ. The fishwraps out here make it seem as though Carroll is god. They mention he's been talking to the NFL about a head coaching position. I must be the only one that remembers Carroll as a horrible NFL coach.

I'm tired of Reggie Bush and his 619 crap. WTF? Who the hell cares about your damn area code.

And BTW- You heard it here first...Leinhart will SUCK in the pros. He's the next Jason White. Great O-Lines, great receivers and great RB's will make anyone look good. His weak-ass passes will get picked off in the NFL. And he has the the balls to say "Our team is still better than Texas" in his interview?

No, not tired of it. Just wanted to fire back, I thought the "Depends" reference in my salvo was pretty good.

Actually, I heard it from my wife first. She's a USC alum and has said several times that she doesn't think Leinart will be as successful in the pros because he can't take a hit. I concur with that. If he goes to a bad NFL team, and almost all highly touted QBs in college wind up on bad teams, he will get pounded.

But, if you think the media and fans there are bad, you should try living in Texas. Gawd, I hate them!

Funny thing about the media and the SC alums. When they hired Carroll everybody hated the hire, and when he started 2-4 they were going nuts. When you win everybody loves you. When you lose, the second guessers come out of the woodwork. That's why I don't read or listen to much of that crap. Every ding dong in the world has an opinion, and most of them are idiotic. LOL

Oh, I think SC would beat Texas 4 out of 6. . But, they only play one, too many wacky little things went Texas' way last night ...... and last night Vince Young was truly In 'Vince' able.

If Eldred is the glue, Chris Gomez is the duct tape.

I'm just living for the day I have both of them on my team. That team will be unbeatable.

I'm thinking fm is right about Gomez. I've got Gomez in another league, for the first time. I didn't draft him, but the autodraft gave him to me so I figured it was an omen.

Right away my 2b goes down and Gomez comes in for about 3-4 games and tears it up offensively. He's been pretty decent since then as well. I'm likin' Mr. Gomez.
