Well the season ended the way it started - losing at home to the Giants. :wink:
Unfortunately it looks like CATom needed to sweep me, as he lost the WC Tiebreaker.

MVP - Jim Edmonds
Always nice when your hitter outperforms his card. Interestingly enough he played exactly 142 games - just like in MLB. I can only wonder if we'd have made the playoffs if Edmonds had been healthy for 162 games.
CY Young - Roy Oswalt
What a lovely stat line, all for 4m! Besides he was my only starter that had a winning record. :wink:
Rolaids Relief - Jesse Crain
Would have gone with T. Jones if it wasn't for those 12 Blown Saves. :(
Surprise Player - Robb Quinlan / JC Romero
Nice work by both as situational role players.
Disappointment - Derek Jeter
A 254 .323 .384 stat line is unacceptable for 7.41m. His lack of OBP at the top of the lineup was a key reason why my team never took off.

MVP: Hard to give to one so I give it to my OFers:
Between the three of them:137 HRs, 338 RBIs, 331 RS. Not too shabby.
Season saver: Graffanino, hands down no doubta 'bout it. In to replace a dissapointing Utley and all he does is score 60 runs, bat in the .320s and OBP in the .370s leading off in a little over half a season. My season saver.

Yes, big ups to the Commish...Count me in again next year.
I have to say my MVP is a toss up. Floyd jacked 47 and drove in 120 but my platoon of Guillen and Mondesi did about the same. Sexson was a force as well.
I have no MVP pitcher either...they all had winning records except Affeldt and Seanez. I have to say Bautista ,who won 15, was a great value.
I'd like to give a collective vote to my team D...only 78 E's(look at the Monarchs..only 58 E's..awesome. That might be the best I've ever seen)

Yes, thanks to the commish, AT. Great league and I enjoyed no DH.
My team overachieved big time. .300 obp, no dominant season from anyone from the hitting side. Run differential negative. Early season trade probably saved my season. Biggest disappointment was Manny.
Clemens did win the Cy Young for the league although Pettitte had a better record. Combined record 36-21
best value was Pete Walker, 9-3 for 1.23mil
Having lots of fun this 2006 season.
