I'd love to make my drops, but I think it's silly to do it before the new cards are out.

Sorry if it slows us all down.

I think its fine to wait until the cards come out and makes sense for some cuts. I just know for sure I will be cutting these guys.

Cuts

Postby azpanthers11 » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:25 pm

Don't have them all but here are a couple.

1. Franklin Gutierrez - CF
2. Miguel Tejada - INF
3. Kelly Johnson - 2B
4. Daric Barton - 1B
5. Kurt Suzuki - C

As well I hadn't noticed at first but looking over the googledoc sheet again I noticed Jon Lester is still listed on my team but I have traded him and Clay Buchholz should replace him on my team list.

Hi Guys -- Cards come out this week.

Postby kramers » Tue Mar 06, 2012 8:46 pm

Kudos to Blackjack. Are we all in agreement that his spreadsheet is correct. I've lost track, computer crashed and lost all my spreadsheets a month ago, but it looks right.

Sorry, I've been out of touch, but business has been, well, "busy". And then we had a death in the family. But I have got the newest PC game and am excited about getting started again.

What say you all!

need our commish (thisisdan) to chime in on when the spring free agent will be and how it will be run.

we also need to declare any players who we will be moving from "prospect" to "regular player" as they count.

and, of course, we need to list our drops somewhere.

[b:3804e3177e]
this should probably be done in the following order:

1. name players you are promoting from prospect to active roster (they can never again be called "prospect" so be sure)

2. list drops....everyone must drop down to 30 (see rules) but can drop to as low as 25 if you choose. if you traded away picks (ie. kramers traded me his 4th round pick in this year's spring draft), then you need to drop enough players to cover these picks too.

3. Have our Spring Draft. (we should list who has who's picks due to prior trades as well) This is non-serpentine based on cumulative won-loss record (see rules)

4. Have our Prospect draft. our rules (see page 1 of this thread) state that our prospect draft will be held in the spring after each spring draft. don't know how the order for this is determined as nothing was stated in the league rules about this.

5. Begin 1st season of 2011 cards........2nd season to follow.[/b:3804e3177e]

thanks,

Paul

The googledoc has the list of trades and draft grids showing who has other team's picks. As always, check for mistakes.

I listed myself before Shakey in the draft order because he had a better head to head record vs me, that's what SOMO uses for the 1st tiebreaker. However, if dan wants to use a different tiebreaker he can, 7th or 8th not a big deal either way to me.

[b:5197dfb100]I'm not sure if the total roster sizes are correct for everyone, so make sure you know how many players are actually on your roster[/b:5197dfb100]
