24 rounds. My money is through 24 rounds because I MUST take cClete Boyer and no one else can take him.

Everyone should post a compliance check.

since we are required to have 24 + 2 stick picks, it makes no sense to do a 25th round, as we would throw that player away.

OK...I have a problem. All my calclations and my choices to this point were based on 25 minus 10 million...and now I see that I needed to figure 26 minus 10 million. In other words, when i make my last pick, i will be 1.1 mil over...i guess the simplest thing to do would be to drop my last pick (Lundgren...pick someone 1.1 cheaper) and stay as planned with 24th pick. My last pick will be Easler...he should be available as everyone already has an "E" although a couple don't have a secret letter yet. There are "L" pitchers available, I believe that would fit the cheaper salary need, and I would be in compliance. So, I need a ruling from the commish on my dropping Lundgren and repicking cheaper. I am in compliance with all other areas and Lundrgen and Easler are only "letters" I need, they don't double for any other theme.

I will be leaving here in about an hour and gone until late Sat night. I may have internet access at some point and I'm taking my laptop in case.

Please use Easler as my round 24 pick and I'll fix the salary thing when I get back. The 24 person roster with 10 mil left was clear, but the 26 through me off. Somehow, I thought if I used the money left when putting my team together on the site and kept it at 10 mil, I thought I was OK. Now I see I really need one more on my roster. While I take full responsibility for not catching this sooner, it sure could have been more clear inthe directions...I think.

OK, I'll check in one more time before I leave. 8)

Lundgren Easler move approved.

Spicki: Please list ERA compliance.

To meet the requirements you must have:
a) 6 players on your roster that have names that could be females' names..spelling doesn't count so Billy is OK but Bill is not; Joe is OK, nicknames that could be either are OK (Dazzy or Dizzy)...

or

b) 3 full time players in the aggregate (with at least one SP and where platoons only count as 1/2).

or

c) 25% of your total payroll with approved names (Dazzy, Babe Ruth, Robin Yount, Rickie Henderson etc.)

I just realized when filling out my compliance sheet i have 2 K's and someone else has K as their secret letter. Do i just have to drop Kennedy and repick and the end of the draft or what?

Compliance check for Modmark

Postby modmark46 » Fri Feb 09, 2007 11:50 am

Well, I haven't picked my 24th player yet, but I have already met all my requirements, and have $4.81m left to spend (to hit the $90m mark). Probably won't spend it all, but I will be selecting a RP with my 24th pick, and I have two letters yet to choose from, with plenty of RP options, so it won't be a problem. OK, here is my compliance check list:
1. Playing in Shibe '50, so I need 5 full time LH hitters and 4 LHSP (two of which must be starters only) - LH hitters are Cobb, Dougherty, Terry, Ruth and Gardner. LH Starters are Guidry & Knepper (SP ONLY), Marquard and Pizarro (S/Rs).
2. Three starting position players with ERA names (TY Cobb, PATSY Dougherty, BABE Ruth) and one SP (MEL Harder). I also have HANK AARON.
3. A Boston Pilgrim - Patsy Dougherty
4. A "1" at 3b - Larry Gardner
5. Two platoons (can't be my .50 SS, 3b or any of my 5 LH hitters) - Backman & Wiggins at 2b, Burgess & Ellis at C.
6. Players from 8 different decades (I have more than enough) - Cobb ('09), Marquard ('11), Gardner ('20), Terry ('34), Burgess ('55), Ellis ('77), Knepper ('86), Jose ('90). Didn't bother with the Astrological signs, but I'm pretty sure I have that covered also.
7. A .50 SS starter, and his backup - Owen, Veryzer.
8. Defense must equal 21 - VS RHPs - Burgess (4), Terry (1), Backman (3), Owen (3), Gardner (1), Dougherty (4), Aaron (3), Cobb (2) = 21. VS LHPs, same as above, except Ellis (4) instead of Burgess, Wiggins (3) instead of Backman, still equals 21.
9. Roster must have players having last names starting with different letters, except for my SDAL, which is G, as well as J & B. Here are my 23 drafted so far:
Aaron
Burgess
Backman
Cobb
Dougherty
Ellis
Gardner
Guidry
Harder
Jose
Jackson, G.
Knepper
Loftus
Marquard
Niemann
Owen
Pizarro
Quilici
Ruth
Terry
Uhle
Veryzer
Wiggins
My 24th pick will be either an S or an F player, neither letter I have used yet.
I think that covers it. :)
