I don't like the shortening of time. If perchance picks are made swiftly, I can find myself missing out on 2 picks if I don't have the time to check. I've done 4 or 5 drafts now, and personally, have never been more than an hour into my pick. But I still like the option of 3 hours, just in case, especially being on the corner where I can miss on 2 picks. Proxies for us at the corners are a bit more difficult, when you can find yourself 23 picks away and no access to a computer for a few hours.

What had troubled me in past drafts was when the clock was off during the weekend, and well, it was taken advantage of. I'm of the thinking that yes, everyone has outside issues, but, knowing that, should never participate in a draft if you can't check even periodically. Knowing you picked at a certain time, unless you are 23 picks away from another pick, there are few excuses for holding up a draft. If you have pick 10 or 11, or 2 or 3, surely you can proxy 4 or 5 players for your rebound pick if you find yourself unavailable for a length of time. I wouldn't expect it from someone on the end or the middle of the draft, as there are multiple picks before and after them.

Hey, does the Clock automatically go off on the draft at a certain time in the evening? The clock is off and I did not shut it off.

I believe it automatically goes off at night (even clocks need to sleep) :shock:

My proxies are in for rds 4 and 5. As much as I would love to see this draft move quickly, here's hoping my picks rds 6 and 7 don't arrive until I get home from work at 7pm EST. Not sure how much access to the computer I'll have during work. Hopefully, I can check it mid-day to see its progress.

I was adjusting my proxies by adding a new proxy choice without turning my picks "off" and the draft fired, skipping Terry de facto.

I'm happy with my pick, since I was about to assign him to the top of my list, but everyone should be aware that when the clock has expired, and you take any action when you are "next" or under "patience" state that pick will be made.

When the clock expires, if you have your proxies "ON" your list will allow you to "DRAFT" with a click, this experience now teaches me.

that makes sense, when I picked a guy I saw it say proxy, not pick so I didn't do anything. It seems if I would have tried to select him as proxy it would have drafted him. So looks like bug is only a user interface bug (saying proxy instead of pick)

Kim and All,
We can have a 2nd Draft on Diamonddope to finish our 40 man roster. Kim, you can create it when we are getting close to the 29th Round.

Had a list of 7 guys on my list for my next 2 picks. The 5 players after I chose ( Hanson, Ethier) went in EXACT order of how I had them listed. :cry:

On a side note, Kim keeps picking guys I target coming back to me. The real killer (other than Upton) was Sizemore. Could easily be a top 10 player in 2010. The future looks extremely bright for his team. I think I took Hanson solely for revenge, on the assumtion that was his next pick!!!
