I'm fairly pleased with the draft so far. I really felt 4 players would be ideal for my team and I've been able to get 3 of them. I've missed out on B. Wilson, but got Escobar, Davis, and Calero. I went back and forth on Stubbs and Davis figuring Stubbs is a much better option going foward, but went with the card instead.

I felt Y. Escobar (providing M. Stanton gets called up this year) was the weakest position player on my team for beyond 2010. I'm not sure A. Escobar is the answer, but I feel a bit more comfortable than I did before we began.

Now only if I can get Jenks or Perez to cooperate this year (DiceK too) I'll feel a LOT better. In hindsight, I wish I didn't toss Fuentes back, but needed to get down to the minimum. I thought I'd be able to sneak him back on my team in the later rounds.

[quote:3eef88f273="thisisray"]I considered Ryan back in round 2 but didn't know if it was too early to take him. Thanks for passing on him. He fits great since Theriot is my only SS [/quote:3eef88f273]

But you have arguably 3 of the best RF's, so I'm sure you'll do just fine if you need to address it.

I went to the Twins-Cardinals exhibition today at the new Target Field...and it is incredible. I was awestruck from the moment I walked in...what a stadium!

That's the way I felt when I first went to Camden Yards. I felt that way again when I visited PNC for the first time too. I think it's sooo cool that they are going to have outdoor baseball in Minnesota again.

By the way Schnoogens, I just sent you a PM.

I know being a Twin fan, you must be excited, both with the new park as well as the renewed interest in spending some money to field a competitive team. Not that they haven't been competitive, but they've always done so on a shoestring budget. Here's hoping the fans get themselves a winner.

Are we working on a 3 hour clock for the draft?

I'm just curious if the commish is being strict on this.

I have NOT instituted a clock as yet, however, if we get another long delay during the week, (4+hours) I will.
