Looking at the drafts on the googledoc it looks as though Ironwill drafted him in the 10th round of the FA draft and then Rant drafted him in the 3rd round of the supp draft, but I don't see that he was dropped. Not sure have to ask Rant maybe its just a typo.

Not a typo, not sure if I was going off a list or just missed that he was taken. Well that stinks! Thanks for noticing mfl.

Not sure what to think in terms of compensation, I could pick up another player but since the season has already ended, that doesn't seem fair. I could eat my mistake, of course. Anyone ever run into this in another keeper league?

Not sure what would be fair for you and everybody else. One idea I have is after everyone makes their drops you can pick anyone of the dropped players before the draft starts, if you like one of them more than one of the 30 players you kept. Maybe something simple like you get to keep 31 players and only draft 9 rounds.

Don't think you should come away empty handed but also don't think it would be fair to just get to select any player as it would basically amount to the first pick in the FA draft.

I wouldn't be too p.o.d if I got nothing out of this. In all reality it was a third round supplemental pick, and I'm at fault for the mistake, so I'm open to whatever.

I'm thinking either get nada or re-incorporate one of my supplemental drops.

I'm of the opinion, for what that's worth, that you should get nothing relating to your 40 man roster at this point and it simply counts as one of your pre draft drops. Giving you any player between now and the draft, even one of our cuts, is basically like giving you the 1st pick in the draft, and that is not fair to the rest of us.


Now that doesn't mean you shouldn't be compensated for the mistake. It just means that compenstaion should be not related to the draft or the 40 man roster at all as it screws with the integrity of the upcoming draft.

What I'd suggest, and I've done this as the commisioner of the 2 keeper leagues I run, when similar mistakes have happened, is 1 of 2 things:

No. 1 - Award a supplemental Prospect pick used at the end of the prospect draft, even it it puts you over the prospect limit.

OR

No. 2 - Allow a 1 time prospect roster exzemption for any 1 prospect that you may have to cut if his time limit is up on the prospect roster. In other words, if you've had a prospect for 2 years and would need to either cut or promote him, and he isn't a guy you really want to promote, you'd get a 1 year waiver and be allowed to keep him as a prospect for a 3rd year.

Those are my suggestions. YMMV and I'll abide but anything the league decides, especially now that the painful draft lottery is gone. :D
