He would have been gone at #4 and I almost offered niners my other 2 1st rounders for his pick there

I actually offered up this deal to dan after seeing Jerlins team.I didnt feel like I could compete with him in season 1 but felt that I could be very competitive in season 2 in the "central" division.I just was not completely sold on Zobrist putting up similar numbers on a yearly basis so I offered him a deal for his 2 1st rounders and a backup 2B/3B.It really wouldnt have bothered me one way or the other if he declined so now hopefully I can get lucky with a few prospects and be in contention year in and year out ala the Atlanta Braves :wink:
