I'm sure everyone is doing the best they can. This is a very difficult draft. Last league, Sarge managed to draft during a period when a f#cking FLOOD destroyed his house, so he NEVER has any need to defend himself in my book.
My brother is having a wild time at work and his proxies were all gone this morning. It happens.
We're all a bunch of good guys here who love baseball....more power to us. Let's keep this going.

the off the clock stuff is why i made 2 numbers for you rgimbel. i did however count the round 5 wait in the 27 min..

I like my hitters so far, plenty of OBP but no power, small ball I see :shock:. The Pitching Staff should be weak :( , we will see.

The house is taking forever to get fixed, The Foundation (Back Wall) has been rebuilt but the North Wall and East Wall need to be fixed now after being inspected after the mud and clean-up was completed. The first floor is slowly being completed....I have Sub-Flooring :D in the Living-Room. The back of the house is torn off and should be completed by November :o , I will believe that when I see it. Yonkers was interesting, Sandy Bloom was there at the training (She is the author of the Sanctuary Model) and wanted our Power point Presentation that we used (Nothing like beer and Pizza in a hotel room). You know I will do another Live Draft :D if we do one.

I still would like to do an AL-only draft with no DH. It would definitely change strategy and values (for instance, with David Ortiz and Pronk playing in the field ... ?!) And we would really have to rake the dregs of the player pool for those hidden gems...but it could be an exciting challenge. Think about it...Frank Thomas as a PH only! A league like that could really tax pitching staffs too. But, when you consider that major league teams make 14 full teams out of the same player pool, we are still supposedly putting together teams with slightly better quality than the actual major league teams.
Keep mulling it over as we play this season out.
Other ideas...
NL Players in AL parks (or vice versa)
NL Pitchers with AL batters (and vice versa)
Divisional draft...i.e. our 'east' teams draft from NL and AL East players, etc.

I agree no sniping, but please try to keep us posted or let us know if you're gonna be away. I know I had no computer access from 1030am pst til now, 4pm pst, so I set proxies well past my two picks, even if everyone in front of me took one of the guys on my list. your proxies need to go atleast 12 deep, or in my case, up to 23, since once I pick, it can be a day and a half before I get to poxy another leak. I think most of us get a huge thrill building teams, even ones as weak as some of these, so it's frustrating. we had plenty of notice for this draft, if it's gonna be bad timing, let us know and we'll start the draft at the best time for everyone. just want to make sure we start the season by next monday, which I think we will.
