Mora's a decent 3B at this point in the draft; slugs LH pitching, but OBA for both sides is about the same, defense is at least average, and the 1-rating for the injury is good even if he's not 600+ PA. I didn't really have a LH killer yet, now I do.
Sarge, Figgins was also on my radar, because I KNEW you were going to take him if I waited, but CF was getting even thinner than 3B, and every league where somebody's had Figgins he underperforms. Still, on paper, he's a great leadoff guy. Think your team looks pretty good, mostly on the back of your middle IF, which is going to be solid and reliable all season long w/ 600+ PA for Jeter & Polanco. That said, your strategy of superbullpen bailing out a mediocre starting staff hasn't worked so well in the past....we'll see.
Meanwhile, good luck to you in the tourney playoffs. I made the 2nd league playoffs as the WC team, with the second best record in the league, then promptly got swept in the first round, losing two extra inning heartbreakers as bookends, and another pitchers duel in the middle. Are you signed up for the 5th and final league before the cut?
As for the Giambi/Cust conundrum, I think it's better to try and hide a horrid defensive guy at 1B than the OF, especially when said OF can't throw, either.
