Here is the rule regarding the prospect draft.

3) Only those players without MLB experience and signed prior to the start of that MLB season, are eligible for any prospect draft

For example, Matt Wieters, Chris Coghlan and Rick Porcello would be eligible. Stephen Strasburg and anyone else who was signed during the 2009 MLB season would not. Anyone who had even 1 AB or pitched 1/3 of an inning prior to the 2009 MLB season would NOT be eligible.

I don't think it would be limited to those guys Dave. Anyone who has not appeared in MLB prior to the start of the season, whether they debuted or not this year, would be eligible as long as they were *signed by a team as a minor leaguer* prior to the start of the 2009 season.

So the list would much longer than just the one you mentioned.

BTW, if you don't know how to approve, go to Inquiry Options > Player Trades and then select Approve from the drop-downs.

My last pick of David Ross finally put my combined salary over the 14 million dollar mark of Albert Pujols, which means my first nine picks are just barely over Albert's salary. I think it's safe to say I will have the lowest payroll this year. Needless to say, I am building for next year. This year will not be pretty.
