My meeting was cancelled, and when I came back and looked in my printer at the team I submitted, I saw that I did something which may be objectionable in this type of draft. And as this is the first time I've done a "partial live draft," (I'm the relative newbie in the group) I don't want there to be any surprises that would reflect badly on me.
I was playing around with different options on different browsers, and I submitted a version that did NOT include one of my five protected picks in the team I submitted.
I know that this would leave him unprotected in the waivers that follow, and yes, that only leaves me with FOUR of my protected picks, but I'll take that hit if it comes to it. (Did anyone else leave out a protected pick?)
I am fine with the team I submitted (and will take my chances in the autodraft), but I can still pull back the team as I submitted it (without this player) before the division is finalized if there are objections, or I can leave the team that I submitted minus one of my five picks.
Of course if anyone ELSE left out one of their picks as well -- or if this is sometimes done in partial live drafts -- I'd rather not go back and redo everything, and will leave it as is, with my only submitting four of my five picks.
I'll go by the consensus of your decision with NO objection, as I consider honesty important. I will also get my big blonde associate in the next office to hit me in the head for tossing this monkey in the wrench.
Sorry guys. Let me have your thoughts.
