Yup, I didn't mention him earlier because I was hoping somehow he'd slide by.

Looks more like a 2nd round prospect pick to me...there are some no-doubt prospects still out there. In other words, great player, but probably would have still been around for a bit.[/quote:2396473dcf]

Maybe, but before the draft began, I had 3 players in mind, Castro, Ackley, and Montero. Heading into 2011, I'd have 4 2nd basemen (Ackley) and 2 (maybe 3) catchers (Montero), so while I might have drafted either of those two had I not moved up, I would have given serious thought to drafting the SS position with Gordon. It's doubtful Gordon would have made it back to him, and if he really wanted a SS, may as well draft him first. Heck, I might even draft one more come pick 24.[/quote:2396473dcf]

I may have taken him a little early, but I figured why risk losing him in round 2 if I like him. Plus lefty hitting SS with his upside don't grow on trees. Some scouts think he has Jimmy Rollins talent.

Grrrrr   Madigan had to go and grab Jacob Turner on his 3rd repick. I will have my pick in soon. Niners. I now have the 23rd pick as a result of my trade with Dan.

At this pace we may just have overlapping prospect drafts. 90 hours have passed since the first pick, 17 picks since that time. :x :x

Can't blame you for something out of your control. The FA draft moved swift enough with few hitches. But this one's taking forever. Picks shouldn't be 8 to 10 hours apart. If I know I am up in a pick or two, I'm going to make every attempt to to check the progress moving foward. I actually dislike the 3 hour per pick time frame, if for no other reason is that at times, there can be circumstances beyond one's control. 3 picks in the last 29 hours however, is beginning to change my opinion.

Well, luckily I was able to draft the guy I had offered my #1 Summer prospect pick to move up to draft at pick #4 in the 2nd RD. Whether he pans out or not is another issue, but at least I still have my #1 pick come this summer.
