I would like to see all three division losers receive a credit. My 2¢.

MM: Interesting team name. :D

Anybody got a link to a excel spreadsheet for ATG III? I know there's one around here somewhere...and I'm gonna need in it about...uh, 90 minutes. Adrian! Adrian! (punches frozen meat in meatlocker) Adrian!
[b:3a5c658d49]
P.S.: Disregard..I found the spreadsheet.[/b:3a5c658d49] Of course I could still use Adrian's super-duper, buzzing with technology and logarithms spreadsheet.

Meanwhile, I see my "nobody will go wacky hard-core righty/lefty only guys like Jose Cardenal, so I can put him in the middle of my draft card" theory has been roundly disproved.

Also, looks like the majority concensus seems to be going to award one credit to each of the last place teams per division (ties broken by runs scored...oh, being as I'm the only pitcher's park that might be unfair...how about ties broken by highest number of runs allowed?)

Ist tie breaker s/b head to head - who ever lost the most
next s/b run differential - largest negative
then runs against

All I remember is that my #1 was Antonello, and the rest looked too damn good, and whoever stole Antonello makes me angry.

We'll see how my master plan goes. Only 5 players eligible to play infield (including Pagnozzi). Only 1 CF. The rest are LF or RF.

Play in Dunn.
100% RH hitters.
100% RH pitchers.

May God have mercy on my soul.

Amen.

So, in this league, do we wish each other rotten luck?

Good luck (and I mean it!) to everyone....

A few admin details

We'll use heads-up records to break ties. If we need to go beyond heads-up records I'll be irritated, but if so we'll use run differential as a 2nd tie-break.

Given that each of us have about $180m extra left to spend, add/drops are not only allowable but almost encouraged. If someone can figure out a way to make frequent add/drops lead to losses they are encouraged to use the strategy. Just remember you must be using players rated at each position they play (at least as starters).

A special "dishonorable mention" award will be given to those players selected by HAL as "Cy Young", "MVP" etc. for the league. For instance, the Cy Young Award will be renamed the "Bill Gogolewski Award", named in honor of this pretty darn hideous Texas Rangers pitcher I had to watch as a fan back in the early 1970s. For the same reasons, the MVP Award has been renamed the "Vic Harris Award". Unfortunately not included in the ATG III set, Mr. Harris hit a sparkling .140/.192/.177 IN 186 AT-BATS during the Rangers' inagural 1972 season.
