The True Grit League

Patience must then prevail...

... It's tough not to get antsy about the first Strat team of the year, but things like the Japan earthquake and the Blizzard here in Bismarck serve to remind me of life's priorities... an extra week's wait won't kill me...and hopefully no one else either. I was actually pleasantly surprised we made it through the draft today...on Tuesday, I was still figuring we wouldn't finish until around Sunday.

Thanks for status updates on the bulletin board. That will prevent the frustration of the unknown.

Nice. I got home early (well, it's 11:25, but whatever), and the site's down. [i:d386f0fd3c]Again.[/i:d386f0fd3c] I'll see if I can carve out a little time tomorrow morning.

LATER: Site is back up, and we're in.

I have A-Rod in another league and after 15 games he gets hurt and is down for 15, if you have him just pray. SGT D

I grabbed a-rod in a lower round. Was in need of a 3b and couldn't overlook him anymore, despite the non-banner year and the fact that I hate the Yankees and, particularly, him. Maybe placido polanco will end up being my secret weapon...

I'm in...

Postby TomSiebert » Sat Mar 12, 2011 11:02 am

First up this morning, nobody else rising, figured I'd finish this off. Still haven't got a handle on all the cards, and I'll never make the frenzy after waivers on Monday, but I'm sure everybody wants to get this going.

Just won my division with the league's best record (93-67) in ATG6. Expect to get bounced in the first round by the mediocre team that squeaked into the playoffs at 82-80, even though we dominated them 9-3 during the regular season.

Maris hits 75 HR, 179 RBI; three 20 game winners, including Eddie Plank w/ 29 and Johnny Miljus out of the bullpen. Five guys scored 100+ runs.

Tom, here is my ATG6 team that just finished. Was first in pitching and last in hitting. Thought the team would have been better than this at PETCO. SGT D
